Witnessing/Outreach
It is the responsibility of each Christian to share his/her faith with others. Jesus told His disciples “Go ye therefore and teach all nations…” We are God’s disciples today and we are expected to obey this commandment. We would love to have you participate in this programme with us. You may say “I’m shy, I couldn’t do that.” Luke 9:26 says “For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father’s, and of the holy angels.” God has been so good to us, why would you be ashamed of Him? There is nothing more exciting in the world than to lead another person to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and see them bow their head and ask for forgiveness. Join us on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the church.
Foreign Missions
What is foreign missions? When a church supports foreign missionaries, they give financially to help support another who feels called of God to go to another part of the world to witness and start a church. We are commanded by Jesus to “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” We give to others that others may be reached with the Good News. For more information about our missions programme, contact Pastor Correa for further details.
Weekly Prayer Meeting
This meeting is not to be confused with the mid week service. This meeting is specifically for prayer, sharing prayer requests and needs. We meet weekly at the church and encourage all who have needs and requests to please attend. The bible says in Galatians 6:2 “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” Jesus wants us to pray for each other. We meet and have a short devotional. We share prayer needs and request and take requests from everyone who wishes to share them. We then break up into smaller groups and pray for the needs of all. Afterward, we stay after for light refreshments and a wonderful time of fellowship. This is one of the best time of the week for me and I hope you can join us at our next prayer meeting.
Mid Week Bible Study
(This service is temporarily not meeting)
On Thursday evening we meet to study God’s Word and to have prayer. The Pastor teaches from the bible practical helps to live and implement into our lives. Many times the Pastor will take us through a certain book of the bible. Perhaps he will preach a series of messages having to do with a certain subject. We encourage you to attend our mid week service to learn more about the bible.

Men/Ladies/Teens/Children Programmes
First Baptist of Killarney is a ministry that has something available for all age groups. Each activity or event is centered around God and designed to bring you to a closer walk with Him. It may be something as simple as a church-wide picnic where a devotion will be given to the group. God’s Word is practical and useful even in the day and age we live in now. We encourage everyone to attend their particular group meetings. There is something special that God has for you there.
Men
You don’t have to look very far to see that the men of today are not living up to the standard that God has set for up for us. We are to be the leaders of our homes. We are to be honest in our business and dealings with the community. We are to love our families and provide for them. We are to be an example of Christ to those in our circle of influence. Can you honestly say that you believe God would be pleased with the life you are currently living? If we were honest, none of us could. First Baptist of Killarney has mens meetings to help you become the men that God intended for you to be. Everything we do is certered around the bible and great examples of men in the bible. We can learn so much from great men like, Abraham, David, Moses, Daniel, Joshua and many many more. Of course, Jesus Christ is our ultimate example. My desire is to be more and more like Christ each day. I hope that there is a desire in your heart as well to be pleasing to God in the life we now live and in the life to come.

Ladies
Our ladies programmes are designed to help each lady come to a closer relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Ladies are known as “The holy spirit of the home.” In order to be a good “holy spirit”, each lady needs to be in tune with the Word of God. It teaches ladies of all ages proper and practical teaching for today’s world. The bible will never be an out-of-date book to help us. The bible is a book that is alive! I want to encourage ladies to join our ladies meetings to learn more about God and His plan for your life. There is more to life than simply being alive, there’s Christ-centered living! Our ladies will also get the opportunity to hear many special inspirational lady speakers from time to time. The ladies also have a wonderful time of food, fellowship, projects and fun. I hope it is your desire to want to grow closer to God and that you will join us soon.

Teens
Young people in the world today are so valuable. There is so much that they can do for good and for God. It is our desire at First Baptist of Killarney to raise young people and children the biblical way and “bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.” There are many activities that we do with the teens as well. We have many plans in the works and believe the teens will have a great time. We implement many biblical truths in the activities we participate in and encourage honesty, hard work, diligence, obedience and holiness. You may think, “holiness” in today’s teenagers(?). It is not above them. Many teenagers have surprised me with their knowledge and desire to want to do right. When you look in the bible, there were many young people who made a big difference in the world. David was believed to be a teenager when he slew the giant Goliath. The prophet Jeremiah was called of God at a very young age. Samuel was set aside for God’s work from the time of infancy. Elihu was of a young age when he approached Job and his words had wisdom beyond his age. Josiah was only 8 years old and was king! Jonathan was David best friend and was used by God greatly as a young man. Joseph was very young when his brothers sold him into slavery, but he showed tremendous courage and faith in God when the circumstances were against him. There are over 20 teens and young people (boys and girls) that I can think of that is clearly mentioned in the bible as making a difference. Yes, teens then and now can be used by God and it’s our desire to help you find what God has planned for you. I have only one question-do you want to make a difference? Parents, encourage your teen boy/girl to be part of this exciting, fun, helpful programme.

Children
We love to have the opportunity to help children. We have dedicated screened volunteers that help with our children ministries. In the day and age we live in, there is never a point when you can be too safe with our children. Every precaution is taken to ensure the safety of children in the programmes that are run at First Baptist of Killarney. The children learn bible stories, songs and lessons on their own age level. It is our desire at First Baptist of Killarney to raise young people and children the biblical way and “bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.” Jesus said to “suffer the little children to come unto me”
